Find IMEI Number after You Lost Phone

The IMEI number of a phone is very useful especially to track your phone once it is lost or gone. If the phone is still with you now, you can easily retrieve your phone’s IMEI number by pressing *#06# on your phone keypad. Your phone will instantly show a string of numbers. This number represents the phones IMEI. Keep this number in a safe place or just screen shot the number and save the picture in your computer. This number might be useful for you to give it to your network operator for tracking purposes.

But what happen if you did not do this step and you just got your phone lost? How do you retrieve your phone’s IMEI number if you have lost your phone? There are several ways. One of it is to retrieve the number from the original packaging of the phone. For IPhone users, if you still keep the original box packaging, the IMEI number is at the back of the box in the Barcode area. It will show you the string of numbers that represents your phone’s unique IMEI number.

But what if you have thrown out that original packaging box? Is there any way you can retrieve your phone’s IMEI number? Luckily that some app in the market has the security feature of retrieving your phone’s SIM ID and also IMEI number even when it got lost. One of the app is the SeekDroid app.

However, just make sure you have already downloaded and installed the app in your smartphone. So, make sure to remember your mobile phone’s IMEI and store it someplace safe. This will prove to be useful if your mobile phone do get lost. You can immediately use this IMEI number by calling your operator and tell them that your mobile phone got stolen or lost.


Track Lost Android Phone using Android Device Manager

If you own an Android phone and somehow was stolen or lost, Google actually has a utility that can track your devices through what it calls the Android Device Manager or in short ADM. The Android Device Manager basically shows where the location of your Android Devices in a map is. But, in order to use it, you need to first register and list down your devices that uses Android in the Google website. By using the Android Device Manager, you can track your phone from a browser in your computer. Google will ask you to log in with your Gmail Account. Make sure that the Gmail account is the same as the one that you use for your phone. From there, it will show you a Map where interface and also the location of your Android device. As long as it is connected to a network or it does not run out from its battery, through this service, you can also be able to remotely wipe the data from your phone or force the phone to ring. However, please take precaution that if you believe your phone is being stolen; please contact the police if you want to retrieve your phone. Do not try to retrieve it yourself because that may put you into harm’s way.


How to Track Husbands Phone

It is not common nowadays that spouse feels there is a need to track their husbands location frequently through their phone. This requirement can come from the tendency to feel safe that their husband is where they are or just to double check on their location just in case if any emergency might occurs. If your husband owns an iPhone or IPad, you can always use an app to track the location of your husband’s iphone through the Find iPhone apps. Make sure that your husband’s iphone also has this app. You can download it free in the Appstore. Once downloaded it, open the app and make sure it is activated in your husband’s phone.

Once activated, it will stay activated unless it is turned off by your husband. The map will always display its last known location. Make sure also to list down your devices in the app so that your phone can let you track his phone. You then also need to download this app to your own iPhone or Ipad. Then you must log in to the app with your Apple account ID. Once activated, you can see where the device is actually located on a map whenever it is activated.

The minimum network requirement for it to track the device is either through GPS signal, 3G, WiFi, or location triangulation via cell towers. Other possible apps to use are by using the same apps you can track your kids with. Parents now can be very comfortable knowing where are their kids even though this can be quite invasive on the kids part.

Some of the apps such Catch me if you can, Protect me if you can or Find my kids footprints are some of the available apps out there that can be install in smartphone. This app can also be used to track your husbands phone and in the same time their location.
