How to do it?
First you can go to their site http://latitude.google.com. If you already have a Google account, it will automatically show your position in the landing page. This is made available by sharing your location in your personal settings. Google will remind you that if your location is shared, it will be made visible to everyone. The second step is then to send email sharing your location to your close friends and family. What are the advantages of using this service? It will be extremely be useful if you are travelling alone somewhere and you want your friends and family to know where you are. So, in case bad things happened they will know where you are at all times. Sometimes you might want to share your location so that your family and friends can find you wherever you are if there is any emergency or just to check-up on you. However, there are the disadvantages of sharing your location. By disclosing your location, you actually giving up your privacy and might entice someone to spy on you. Because your location is visible to your friend, there is the possibility of them giving the location to people who you may not want to share.
